Tassel with Buteng shells, cotton macrame and wooden beads

The Bayu is a stunning tassel, crafted by hand in Bali with Buteng shells, cotton macrame rope, and wooden beads. Our tassel collection is specially designed to complement our bed canopies.

This decorative piece has roots in Papua New Guinea, where it is traditionally used in ceremonies. The Dayak people of Kalimantan incorporate these shells into family rituals.

The Bayu set includes 2 tassels.

Recommendations: Use 1 set for a ‘2-door bed canopy’ and 2 sets for a ‘4-door bed canopy.’

Each panel or door can be secured with 1 tassel.

For the ‘4-door version’ with 4 panels, 2 sets are needed.

Each item is lovingly handcrafted by skilled artisans in Bali. Due to its handmade nature, slight variations in size, shape, or color may occur, making each piece truly unique.

  1. Use a soft cloth and warm water for cleaning.
  2. Gently wipe without fully submerging the tassel.
  3. Allow to air dry to preserve the natural fibers.
