Shell tassel, handcrafted in Bali using Cowry shells and cotton

The Taruna is an exquisite tassel, handcrafted in Bali using Cowry shells, cotton, and hemp rope. Our collection of tassels is specially designed to complement our bed canopies.

This decorative piece originates from Papua New Guinea and holds cultural significance, often used in traditional ceremonies. The Dayak People of Kalimantan have historically incorporated these shells into their family rituals.

The Taruna set includes 2 tassels.

Recommended use: 1 set for a 2-door bed canopy and 2 sets for a 4-door bed canopy.

Each panel/door can be adorned with 1 tassel. For the 4-door canopy, which has 4 panels/doors, 2 sets are recommended.

Craftsmanship and Materials

Each Taruna Shell Tassel is lovingly handcrafted in Bali by skilled artisans. Because of its handcrafted nature, slight variations in size, shape, or color may occur, making each tassel truly unique.

These tassels are made from a combination of authentic cowrie shells, a wooden bead, and natural cotton macramé cord, blending durability with a timeless aesthetic.

To clean your shell tassel, use a soft cloth and warm water. Avoid submerging the tassel entirely to preserve the integrity of the materials.
